Shaken, Not Stirred: Elsa Top Interlock

Since this is the first "Shaken, Not Stirred" post, I'll give it a little introduction. First of all, we love Lilly (obviously). However, we also have a love for other brands and fashion trends. In these posts, we will try to pair Lilly pieces with other things we love to wear on a daily basis.

To start us off, we're taking a look at the versatile Elsa top in the "Doubloons" print. It's the same cut and style of the other Elsa tops of the past, but this is in a knit jersey type fabric. SO COMFORTABLE! But really...I would sleep in this thing! As shown in the photo below, we've paired it with basic solid black leggings.

Leggings have become a staple in many wardrobes. You either love them or hate them. If you love them, we think this Elsa top works perfectly. If you're not a leggings fan, no fear...we think you'll be pleased with some upcoming looks! Our model, Liz, pushed up her sleeves and stacked a few Lilly bangles, shown below, to complete her look.

Our models had so much fun at the photoshoot...you'll see many more looks in the future! You can tell Liz had a great time - and looks great, too! The main point of this look is comfortable style. It's definitely a great outfit to relax or play around in and still look effortlessly cute!

Happy Hour: Skinny Girl Margarita

So here's the thing, I might have over-indulged at one of my favorite restaurants. It happens to the best of us, right? The guilt is worse than the stomach ache! Well here's a cooling cocktail that I don't feel guilty about in the slightest! It's delicious and low (I mean, doing the limbo, "how low can you go?" kinda low) calorie.

Without further ado here's Bethenny Frankel's Skinny Girl Margarita:

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz of Clear Premium Tequila (count 1, 2 while you pour, no need for measuring)
  • Tiny splash of Orange Liquor
  • Juice of 4 Fresh Lime Wedges
And here's what you do with it all:

To serve on the rocks, combine all ingredients over a glass of ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

DONE! And only 100 calories. Thank you, Bethenny! Always drink responsibly! XOXO

Where better to start than a juice stand?

If starting with a juice stand was good enough for Lilly Pulitzer, it's surely good enough for us, too! Maybe we're not always sipping on pink lemonade, but it's juicy nonetheless! Trust me, we ladies here at The Colorful Gator know a Carrie-Samantha-Charlotte-Miranda moment when we have one!

I want whatever they're having!

Back to my original point... WELCOME!

Our store's Open Sign

Welcome to our blog, we think you're in for a real treat in the wonderfully colorful world of Lilly Pulitzer. We think you'll find some really exciting things here at The Juice Stand that you haven't seen before. As much as we adore Lilly, we love mixing and matching it with other fashion pieces and creating unique and livable looks for everyday. Let's face it, not all of us have a cocktail party to go to every night...but who says you still can't dress with color and pour yourself a drink anyways?

And that's what we're all about, a colorful lifestyle. Our plans for the future are to keep you updated on in store happenings (also found on our Facebook page), our own colorful likes, a juicy recipe per week and DAILY updates on how to style a Lilly outfit for any occasion.
